The Lochnagar Crater
The Lochnagar Crater in La Boiselle, is a huge mine crater : the remains of series of explosions on the 1st July 1916, the first day of the Battle of the Somme.
Every year the commemorations of the Battle of the Somme take place in La Boiselle at 7.28 AM, the 1st July.
It is one of the most preserved and easy to reach crater of the First World War.
